furry time

In these temperatures, one can understand how people took to wearing animals - it just so much warmer than all that snthetical stuff. Almost a year ago in cool Melburnian winter, I bought my beloed fur collar in an op shop. It used to be attachable to a jacket, but the jacket got lost and it was left all alone...so I took care of it, matched it with my black faux leather jacket or my winter coat and we all lived happily ever after.
Wearing fur is a moral dilemma. But wearing Vitage is for some a way out of it. My fur collar has been dead before, it has not been killed on purpose for a present day fashion. The animals died anyway, so wearing vintage fur

meet Retina

this gem was hiding in an ugly black bag:

Please meet Kodak Retina automatic III! This model has only been produced from 1960 to 1962 and cost more than 300 DM back in the days. Luckyly, the internet knows more:

The Kodak Retina AUTOMATIC I is a small handy precision camera also
cutter cross after Retina Reomar 1:2,8/45mm with an Prontormat s catch.
It possesses an automatic control of the screen, as well as the suttertimes,
which block the trip with insufficient lighting conditions

kids in trees

While going through my grandmas stuff, I found many boxes of old photos, the oldschool black and white type. They are lovely, though sometimes it is quite to hard to tell who is who. How people change when they grow older.
I took some to my grandma, but even she could not remeber all of the persons in the pictures.

Some are just snapshots, but some are of a more artsy type in terms of composition and light. All accidental, I suppose, but beautiful...

a wintery day indoors

Today I finally did what I meant to do for a while now: I baked veggie muffins. Originally I planned on making some for Christmas, but that got cancelled since my sister decided to make raclette. But this morning after a lovely sunday morning brekky with my parents, I took the chance and what was in t fridge and made brockoli-carrot-muffins with goat cheese. They turned out quite yummy, and I are almost gone already.
The rest of the day I spent going through my grandmas stuff again. I have almost all the clothes sorted, the next days will see me giving a go at the massive book collection and then the furniture.

In the attic, I found two pairs of gorgeous late 70s or early 80s boots. The brown are superb winter boots that would keep my feet warm and dry and would also look good, but unfortunately, they are too small. It says size 6 on the side, and I have usually size 8, but they seem to be really soft and comfy.

The grey ones are even more 70s, with their little heel and the colour is wonderful! Alas, this pair is too small for my massive feet too. These are only a size 5 1/2, but feel a bit bigger than the brown ones.
Both pairs have been worn which shows in small stains here and there, but are basically in good vintage condition.

Further, in the back of the study I found a whig, seems to be from the 70s aswell! It might have belonged to my aunt when she was younger, the cut is a classical bob with longer sides and quite short bangs.

a Shop to come

eure JEF

ENGLISH
a couple of years ago I got infected with the vintage virus. Although the Jeffery was initially destined to become my own fashion blog, it never really worked out that way. But now I got hold of my grandmothers belongings- all of them, since her hous is going to be rented out and renovated. Although I would like to keep most of her stuff for myself, I do not have the space to store it all, nor the time to wear everything - or some things just do not fit. I will introduce the very best pieces and,if I can, their story here. You can purchase everything you see here, just leave a comment or send me an email.

see you soon,
your JEF
